Weather Office provides weather information for one or more locations as configured by you or by finding the nearest available location using latitude and longitude data.
If you choose to use Current Location on Android or iOS, the application may access your device location while the app is in use and, if your permission and device settings allow it, in the background. This allows Weather Office to keep your Current Location weather, widgets, and severe weather alerts up to date as you travel.
When you use nearby or Current Location features, latitude and longitude are sent to X2 Studios servers to resolve the nearest supported weather location. X2 Studios does not maintain a separate user account profile or long-term location history for Weather Office, but standard web server access, security, and error logs may temporarily contain request details, including IP address and request parameters, for operational, abuse-prevention, and troubleshooting purposes.
Weather Office stores your selected weather locations, widget data, and the last resolved Current Location weather site on your device. On iOS, widget data is also stored in the app group container shared between the main app and the widget extension so your widgets can display current weather information.
If you enable notifications on Android or iOS, Weather Office may generate local notifications on your device for severe weather alerts associated with your saved locations or Current Location. These notifications are created locally by the application after background or foreground weather refreshes; X2 Studios does not send these alerts from its servers for Weather Office.
If you do not want us to use your location for the purposes set forth above, you should turn off the location services for the application located in your account settings or in your device settings and/or within the application.
