Article: 37, Recommended Remote Printer Queue Values for Remote Output Queues
Date: April 11, 2006 - 11:50AM
Topic:

Some customers have issues where a print job will report successfully as sent to the device but nothing will be printed. The normal cause of this is that the device is rejecting the queue name and the backend is exiting normally, not reflecing the rejection of the job.

Discussion:

This document contains a list of recommended values for the Remote Printer Queue (RMTPRTQ) parameter/Queue Name when using a Remote Output Queue (RMTOUTQ).

Notes:

1 The values listed below are case-sensitive.
2 This list is not intended to be all-inclusive. If using a network interface or system that does not appear in this list, contact your OEM vendor to find out what value to use when sending spooled files using LPR/LPD.
